ORLANDO AREA SHOPPING
Orlando is a shoppers haven of outlet centers, discount superstores,
upscale boutiques, antique shops and luxury department stores. Orlando is becoming
one of the fastest growing retail markets in the United States.
The greater Orlando area is currently home to eight shopping malls, with more
than 1,200 stores combined.
The Florida Mall, features shops
such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Burdines, J. Crew, Pottery Barn, Restoration
Hardware as well as restaurants and entertainment venues. During
Fall 2002, upscale department stores Lord & Taylor and Nordstrom
will open in the mall.
Orlandos newest shopping center, The Mall at
Millenia, opening in October 2002, will be anchored by Bloomingdales,
Macys and Nieman Marcus.
Altamonte Mall, Orlando Fashion Square Mall, Osceola Square Mall, Oviedo Marketplace,
Seminole Towne Center and the West Oaks Mall offer an extensive variety of

Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores offers
bargain hunters 500,000 square feet (45,000 square meters) of
shopping in 38 stores full of savings on brand-name merchandise
from Reebok to Gap Outlet, London Fog, Jockey, Danskin, Oneida

Belz Factory Outlet World and
the Belz Designer Outlet Centre comprise the largest of the outlet
centers. Located on International Drive, this shoppers
paradise boasts more than 160 brand-name factory stores such
as Off 5th - Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet, Fitz & Floyd, Coach
and Ann Taylor.
Kissimmee Value Outlet Shops,
with 140,000 square feet (12,600 square meters) of space, offers
even more variety with more than 25 factory stores including
Nike, G.H. Bass & Co. and Van Heusen.
Shopping Downtown Orlando
Combine shopping with beautiful scenery and stroll along Park Avenue, just
north of Orlando in downtown Winter Park. Experience the upscale ambiance of
this scenic and peaceful European-style avenue dotted with small boutiques,
art galleries, antique shops, gift emporiums and outdoor cafés.
Orlandos Antique Row on Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando offers a variety
of collectibles. Visitors looking for specialty items can also stop by the
nearby Ivanhoe shops, which boast antiques, fine gifts and clothing.
Pointe Orlando on International Drive offers upscale shopping in exclusive
stores such as FAO Schwarz, Armani Exchange, Tommy Jeans and Abercrombie & Fitch.
Pointe Oralndo is multi-level complex also features a 21-screen Muvico Cinema
complete with a state-of-the-art IMAX®3-D theater. Restaurants and nightclubs
round out the offerings.
Located just down the street from Pointe Orlando is The Mercado, which offers
75 specialty shops including American Cola Company, Fragrance International,
Del Sol, Around the Globe, The Looking Glass and Kandlestix.
Church Street Market in downtown Orlando is complete with shops such as Sharper
Image and Brookstone in addition to many restaurants, pubs and nightclubs.

Downtown Disney Marketplace is a popular open-air shopping spot with 26 shops
featuring everyones favorite mouse and all of his pals. Between shopping
at the LEGO Imagination Center and at World of Disney, the worlds largest
Disney character merchandise shop, visitors can take a boat ride around the
Lake Buena Vista lagoon, listen to entertainment on an outdoor stage, or dine
at one of its popular themed restaurants. Also within the Downtown Disney district

The Arts Market held the second Saturday of
each month October-March or the Farmers Market Downtown Orlando held every
Saturday. The Arts Market is located along Wall Street Plaza and Court Street
and the Farmers Market is located under Interstate 4 at Church Street.
Orlando International Airport offers
shoppers last minute Orlando memento in one of 36 shops in the
main terminal of the Orlando International Airport. Stores include
Warner Brothers Studio Store, Discovery Channel, the Body
Shop, Sunglass International, Electronics and more.
